Terms of use

Last updated 7 September 2026.

1. Who these terms are with

This website is operated by Linx Accounting Services Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 11742116, registered office 124-128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. Linx Automate is a trading name of that company.

Linx Accounting Services Limited is licensed and regulated by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, licence number 4859891. Using this site means accepting these terms.

2. The information here is general

Everything published on this site is general information about how finance and operational processes commonly work and how they can be automated. It is not accounting, tax, legal or technology advice for your circumstances, and it is not a recommendation that any particular process at your organisation should or should not be changed.

Processes, systems and the regulations that apply to them differ by organisation and by jurisdiction, and they change. Do not act on anything here without advice that has considered your actual position.

3. No engagement arises from this website

Reading this site, sending an enquiry, or having a first conversation with us does not create a professional relationship and does not oblige either of us to anything. We are engaged only when scope, fee and terms are agreed in writing and our engagement letter is signed. Until then, no duty of care arises and no work is being performed on your behalf.

4. Third-party products and trade marks

We name software products where naming them is the clearest way to describe what a process involves or what a system already does. Those names and marks belong to their respective owners.

Naming a product does not imply that we are a partner, reseller, certified implementer or affiliate of its publisher, that the publisher endorses us, or that we have any relationship with it at all — unless this site says so explicitly and by name.

5. Availability and links

We aim to keep the site available and accurate but do not guarantee either. It may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, and we may change or withdraw content without notice.

Where we link to another website, we do not control it and are not responsible for its content, its accuracy or its privacy practices.

6. Intellectual property

The content, design, code and marks on this site belong to Linx Accounting Services Limited or are used with permission. You may read, print and share pages for your own non-commercial purposes. Republishing, systematically copying, or using the content to train or fine-tune a machine learning model requires our written permission.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on general information published on this website. Liability for work carried out under an engagement is governed by that engagement letter, which sets out the limits and the professional indemnity arrangements that apply.

8. Complaints

If something has gone wrong, please tell us first at [email protected] so we have the chance to put it right. Complaints about regulated accountancy work that we cannot resolve between us may be referred to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The version published here is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
